What does a missing player change?
Our injury-impact format explains a player’s contribution in sports terms, with public sources and uncertainty.
1. Verified availability
Player, team, official status, source link and last-check timestamp. Questionable means uncertain, not confirmed out. We do not infer private medical information.
2. Role and workload
Snaps or minutes, touches, routes, targets, possessions or other sport-appropriate usage, with season and sample size.
3. Replacement context
Who may replace the player, confirmed experience and the limits of the comparison.
4. Estimated team impact
Observed changes in efficiency, production or scoring with and without the player. Each estimate must show the sample, method, range of uncertainty and relevant context. An on/off difference alone does not establish the player’s causal value.
5. What would change the assessment?
A revised status, lineup change, corrected source or new evidence triggers re-review. Stale reports expire rather than being sent as current.
